Facilities - QSI International School of Yerevan

Conveniently nestled in the international community Vahagni, QSI International School of Yerevan is located off of Ashtarak Highway. Our purpose-built school facility, constructed in 2011, includes 20 fully equipped classrooms. In addition, the facility features an automated library with over 12,000 volumes, a bright, spacious art room, music room, stage, technology laboratory, science laboratory, and kitchen/cafeteria. The school is situated on a landscaped tract of land with an outside playground, soccer field, and outdoor sports area. An indoor gym in the nearby Red Cross facility is used during the winter months. The school is guarded by an outer security fence, gated security to the inner compound, and 24-hour building/grounds security.

Bright, Spacious Classrooms

QSI Yerevan is proud to offer large, spacious classrooms. These classrooms promote a positive learning environment for our students and are well-stocked with resources, manipulatives, technology, and other curricular materials. Teachers put great care into ensuring the learning environments are aesthetically pleasing, displaying student work and celebrating learning and achievement.

Technology to Engage and Inspire

QSI Yerevan is equipped with a modern technology lab with desktop computers, robotics kits, and a 3-D printer. Beyond this, the school offers a 1-to-1 laptop program for elementary students, as well as 60 iPads. Each classroom is equipped with interactive projectors to make teaching and learning more engaging and hands-on.

All staff and students have access to the Microsoft 365 suite of productivity tools, both online and offline. The school also invests in a range of educational programs, software, applications to promote learning, engagement, and the development of skills, both in technology and across the curriculum. The school also utilizes Schoology as our Learning Management System, allowing students, educators, parents, and administrators stay connected, both on and off campus.

Makerspace - A Space for Innovation

QSI Yerevan is excited to offer our school community a state-of-the-art makerspace. A makerspace is a place for students to build, explore, and create using a variety of high-tech and low-tech equipment and resources. It is a fun and engaging space for students to engage in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities. We will have a large variety of robotics and engineering equipment, craft supplies, tools, a 3D printer, and various other building and art supplies. When students come to the makerspace, they will be given problems and challenges to explore. In our makerspace, students will develop their 21st Century Skills of STEAM (collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking) through hands-on inquiries.

Auditorium - A Place to Celebrate Learning and Achievements

QSI Yerevan has both an indoor stage and an outdoor amphitheater for student performances, guest lecturers, assemblies, and other special events. The stage is properly equipped with the latest lighting and sound technology, enabling the school to host a range of drama, music, and other performances. These two environments allow us to celebrate student learning and achievement, as well as showcasing our students' creative expressions in meaningful ways.

Art Room - A Place for Creativity and Self-Expression

Students at QSI Yerevan have access to a large, spacious art room. This room is well-equipped with supplies and equipment, including a state-of-the-art kiln for pottery work. Mr. Kevork, our dedicated art teacher, works in this space to help our students develop important skills and creativity in the visual arts, as well as helping them to develop an appreciation for the various artistic mediums. Student artwork is always on display to celebrate the success and achievement of our students.

Library - A Space to Get Lost in Books

QSI Yerevan believes in the power of reading to inspire, engage, and educate our students. Our library's warm, inviting environment welcomes young readers to browse the shelves and our library collection of over 12,000 texts. We strive to provide a vast collection of books to inspire our students to read and develop a lifelong love of reading. Each year a significant proportion of our annual budget is dedicated to investing in new books for our school and classroom libraries. Feel free to browse our collection below!

Science Laboratory - A Place for Discovery

QSI Yerevan has a purpose-built science lab for our middle school and secondary students. Housing a wide variety of laboratory equipment and supplies, students can engage on hands-on labs to delve deeper into their studies. Our rigorous curriculum allows students to achieve mastery at a high level, including a variety of AP courses. The school is planning to add a second science laboratory in the summer of 2021 for our middle school students.

Outdoor Classrooms - Taking Learning Outdoors

QSI Yerevan has several outdoor classrooms as well as a large balcony and a covered alcove. Several of our elementary classes have patios currently being constructed, so students will have an indoor/outdoor workspace. With our far-reaching wifi, students of all levels can work in fresh air on nice days. These areas have also provided safe places to eat lunch and snack during the pandemic and have allowed us to extend our school day.

Gymnasium, Track, and Field - An Environment for Health, Activity, & Teamwork

The school is situated on a landscaped tract of land with an outside playground, soccer field, and outdoor sports area. An indoor gym in the nearby Red Cross facility is used during the winter months. The school has plans for an expansion of its facilities. These expansion plans include the construction of a large gymnasium. Due to the current pandemic, the plans have been put on hold.
